"Superb treatment"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital / Accident and emergency Chesterfield Royal Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I first saw Mr Fares  at A&E after initial irritation in my L eye deteriorated to intense pain. I continued under his care at the Eye Hospital at Chesterfield for the following 9 weeks after he diagnosed corneal herpetic disease. Various treatments were used, with different eye drops until a solution was found.

At all times, Mr Fares was very caring and sympathetic to my pain and discomfort. His manner was extremely professional and his gentle and kind demeanour was hugely reassuring for me as a patient.

I am extremely grateful for his care and he is an enormous asset to the hospital. Thank you again, Mr Fares.
