"My lack of help"

I was brought 20 times with suicide to Craigavon Area Hospital plus I was in intense care twice due to my mental health.

The nurses and doctors saw were extremely rude and unhelpful with my mental health. I spoke to the mental health team each time and they were very dismissive on what I have been going through. My experiences with the mental health team actually makes me want to end my life quicker. I felt like I was just a number in their eyes. Every time I explained myself with what I’m passing through they just laughed at me and told me to watch the birds sing even though I have been through sexual abuse.

During my stay I found the ward totally unclean and very unhygienic especially bathrooms. I saw some nurses and doctors become very abusive and aggressive towards patients and it’s very scary to watch and makes peoples issues worse.

If I try to explain the way I was feeling this just got ignored and I was sent home without treatment help or support. They need to understand the patient has feelings and is allowed to explain their feelings without being attacked by the staff.
