"Pleasant experience but a lack of silver pins"

About: Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service

(as a service user),

I gave blood in Portadown.

As per usual the experience was absolutely fine. The staff were professional and very pleasant.

The only small disappointment was that although it was my 25th donation, there was no stock of silver pins to be given.

The staff were very apologetic at this omission. I do think it is something that should be looked at for each unit to have a stock of relevant materials .

Regards

Congratulations on your 25th donation, your dedication to blood donation is truly appreciated.

I’m sorry you were disappointed there were no silver pins to mark the occasion, we are in the process of reviewing our donor rewards and are currently issuing Certificate’s for donation milestones, if you did not receive yours please mention to staff on your next visit to session or alternately email inet@nibts.hscni.net and we can arrange to have one sent out to you

Kind Regards

Catherine Casey
