"We’re immensely grateful for the care that they gave to us"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Maternity care

(as the patient),

We were recently lucky enough to spend several nights with the labour and antenatal team at Royal Infirmary Edinburgh and have nothing but the highest praise for the wonderful care we received.

All of our midwives and student midwives were brilliant, and made such a difference to our experience of this special and stressful time. We’d like to heap special praise upon Natalie, Kimmy, Amber and Claire for being so knowledgeable, sensitive and supportive during the birth, and for taking the time to come and check in on us afterwards.

On the antenatal ward Megan was superb: humanising our stay, assisting with breastfeeding, medication and pain-relief, and remaining an always warm, and welcome presence.

We’ll miss them all and hope they all go on to beautiful things in their careers. We’re immensely grateful for the care that they gave to us.

Dear falconjw33

Congratulations on the new addition to your family and thank you for taking the time to send such lovely feedback. This will be passed on to the labour and antenatal ward to share with the staff you mentioned. They will be so happy to hear they have had such a positive impact on your birth journey.

Kind regards

Donna Swinney
