"Removal of a metal exuding from gum line"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Accidents & Emergency Antrim Area Hospital / X-Ray Department Mid-Ulster Hospital / Radiology The Ulster Hospital / Maxillo Facial Outpatient Department The Ulster Hospital / Theatres / Recovery

(as the patient),

It took a while from my dentist referring me for urgent treatment to get to the operation, my GP was of no assistance. Once the doctor in Antrim A&E saw me with another infection caused by the breached gum he fast tracked everything. Dr Anthony was brilliant.

The CT scan team in Magherafelt were so friendly and accommodating.

I had surgery in the Max Fax theatre in Ulster University. Dr Mcauley and his team were awesome. So helpful and understanding throughout every step of the process. Every staff member in the Ulster hospital could not have done more.

I'd like to thank all the great NHS staff that have been part of my journey out of suffering.

I think we the public should do more to help them for better wages and working conditions in every way possible.

Also I was promised the tea would be terrible, and that promise was also fully fulfilled.  😅

5chlappin,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this lovely compliment, I will pass your praise on to our theatre team in the Ulster.

It is great to hear that our teams are providing "awesome" care and I am glad that you found the staff to be helpful and understanding during such trying times.

I hope you are recovering well and have no more suffering,

Cathy McDowell

Good afternoon 5chlappin,

I would first like thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the NHSCT, CT Department in the Mid Ulster Hospital. As an organisation we are committed to consistently showing compassion, professionalism and respect for the patients we care for, so it was reassuring to learn of the care provided by our team.

I will be sure to share your feedback with the CT staff who supported you on the day and I am sure they will be very grateful of your kind words.

Best wishes on your journey to recovery.

Laura
