"They all made me feel very safe"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

(as a service user),

I wanted to tell you about the excellent care I received from the oral and maxillofacial surgery team in the North Devon District Hospital.

I attended there for them to have a biopsy taken from the bottom of my mouth which you can imagine sounds quite painful and scary. The whole team that work there are so professional and very caring. They all made me feel very safe and comfortable. I was even given numbing gel before the dreaded needle.

I can honestly say that I didn't feel a thing and was talked through the entire procedure and well cared for throughout. They even gave me a stress ball to help keep me calm and played music too.
