"The consultant provided time and understanding"

About: Victoria Hospital / Ear, Nose & Throat Victoria Hospital / SEAL (Surgical Elective Admission Lounge)

(as a service user),

Had my parotid gland removed by Mr Bannister, ENT consultant, yesterday.

What a breath of fresh air he is to the NHS for the time and understanding he provided both before and after my operation. So refreshing to have a Consultant taking the time to discuss everything and also how the operation went.

It has made it so much more of a positive experience and you feel like a person and not a number. The team in the ENT ward at Kirkcaldy have been brilliant. Thank you to everyone.

Good Afternoon

I am delighted to hear that your experience within the ENT department has been very positive and that Mr Bannister took the time to discuss everything with you including the outcome of your operation.

Patients often feel vulnerable when coming into hospital and it was so lovely to hear that you were treated with compassion and respect. Our aim in ENT is to ensure that all of our patients are well informed throughout their journey with us so this was refreshing to hear that this was your experience.

It will give me great pleasure to share your wonderful feedback with Mr Bannister and the rest of the team.

Best Wishes in your recovery.

Lisa
