"They were absolutely excellent"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre

(as the patient),

In the beginning of November 2024 I entered The Queen Margaret Hospital with trepidation for an operation to my foot I have been very lucky health wise and this is the first operation I have had since I was about 12/13 I am now 74 years old.

Right from the time I went in I was made so comfortable and put at ease that all my worries and sleepless nights were gone

The operation was performed by Surgeon Mr Carter and his team and all I can say is they were absolutely excellent

In mid-November I had to go back to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy to have a plaster cast put on ,again I was put at ease by the AMAZING Steven plasterer extraordinaire he was absolutely wonderful and excellent in his profession his demeanour was above and beyond anything I have ever known he made me feel really relaxed talking me through exactly what he was doing.

I have nothing but praise for the people I met in the NHS I feel they need to be recognised and praised for such a vocation

Thank you so much

Update posted by Bullfrog (the patient)

Hi Fiona, as I have never been in a hospital before I really didn't know what to expect. I had heard lots of stories good and bad but I can honestly say my experience was so good that I have nothing but praise for all of your team.

You should be very proud to have an excellent workforce who are very dedicated in their job and are able to pass this on to their patients. I certainly have sung from the rooftops about the care I had and have nothing but praise for all of you.

Thank you so much and I'll see you all on the 19th Dec when I come back to get my cast off.
