"The treatment of my husband"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill) / Cardiology

(as a relative),

My husband was taken to King's College Hospital after getting a UTI and a heart blockage. He wasn’t treated for the UTI for several days, despite having a fever and looking very unwell. The doctors watched my husband deteriorate despite me and my family pleading for antibiotics.

Days later my husband caught sepsis at Sam Oram ward. He soon had to have dialysis and was fighting for his life. He never was treated for the heart blockage. He died months later after suffering at the hands of what I found to be rude, uncaring nurses and doctors.

In my experience, King's college hospital is unsafe with rude, uncaring staff and dirty wards and toilets. Nurses kept touching their faces and hair before drawing bloods on patients.  I am traumatised by the experience and I am grieving the treatment of my husband.
