"The environment was very calm and not rushed at all"

I wanted to specifically compliment Dr Rachel who was on duty in Royal Devon and Exeter A&E this evening (13 November).

She was incredibly patient, friendly, and knowledgeable; made sure to confirm that her understanding of what I'd said was accurate; and explained all the processes and potential outcomes in a really clear and accessible way.

I felt like an equal partner in my care, which is unfortunately not something that can often be said. It was much like having a regular appointment rather than going to A&E - the environment was very calm and not rushed at all.
