I would like to share my experience as a patient on 12th December 2013. I arrived in the treatment centre at 8am as I was greeted by members of staff and taken to the ward area. From the moment I arrived all members of staff were welcoming, kind and caring. I did feel very vulnerable and nervous that morning as I did not know what to expect. My feelings of anxiety were soon gone due to the care and attention I received. Various checks were done and I was promptly seen by the gynaecology consultant. She told me I was first on the list and she would see me shortly. Throughout my time in the treatment centre I was kept up to date with what was going to be happening and this made me feel a lot more at ease. Once I had gone to theatre I was met by the anaesthetist, who introduced himself and talked me through what was going to happen. Again the attention I received and the staff explaining exactly what has happening made me feel less anxious about the pending operation. On waking up after my operation I was met again by more caring staff who were happy to serve me tea and toast. Nothing was too much trouble for any staff member and I felt extremely well looked after. I can only give praise and thanks for the excellent treatment and care I was given on this day. I really do want all the staff to be told that they really do an excellent job. I would like to say a big thank you to every member of staff that helped to care for me.
"Brilliant"
