"Husband's care OUTSTANDING"

My husband developed really sudden pain and trouble passing urine. From the moment we arrived in A&E, through triage, A&E, up to the surgical assessment unit and ward B3, the care was absolutely outstanding.

My husband shared a room with another patient and the nurses that discussed this with us did so really well. It's not ideal to share a room but we understood why it was needed and actually when you have airpods and a phone to watch netflix, it was no problem at all.

The Sunday we were in A&E, it was so so busy but the care was excellent. All very reassuring. Please pass my thanks to all of the nursing staff, doctors, support staff - brilliant care. Thankfully he is now fully recovered, thanks to your help!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback with us following your husband's admission to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. I was pleased to read that your husband received excellent care throughout his admission and was well-supported by all staff.

I was also pleased to read that when there was a need for your husband to be doubled up the staff had a positive and informative conversation on the reasons why he would be in a doubled room.
