"Post heart attack rehabiliation services"

Having suffered a minor (silent) heart attack back in June this year, I was referred to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit based in Armagh city.

I had an initial assessment with Shileen and Jayne and then joined an eight week programme of approximately two hour sessions involving exercise and information lectures covering topics such a medications and other available services.

I found the sessions very informative and reassuring and they also offered the opportunity to meet a group of people who had been through a similar experience.

I have now accepted an invitation to attend a short course of supervised exercise classes at the Orchard Leisure Centre with the aim of continuing to improve cardiac fitness.

Shileen and Jayne form a professional team and were a great encouragement; I have no hesitation in recommending these classes to anyone who find themselves in a similar situation.
