"Inguinal Hernia Repair, Perth Royal Infirmary"

About: General Surgery / Elective Surgery (Ward 7 & 8) Perth Royal Infirmary / General Surgery Perth Royal Infirmary / Pre-Assessment Clinic

(as the patient),

I attended the Pre-Assessment Clinic in General Outpatients, in October prior to scheduled surgery in November and was seen by a number of staff concerning my medical history and to identify any factors which might require to be addressed prior to or during  surgery. The staff were welcoming and friendly taking time to elicit all relevant information and to make me aware of the rationale for the questions they were asking.

I was admitted to Ward 7 at Perth Royal Infirmary at 7.30am to await surgery that day.  From then until my discharge later on in the day I was consulted and kept fully informed by various members of the Ward 7 staff, Anaesthetists and Surgical team of how the operation itself would progress and how after care would be managed.
I cannot speak highly enough of the friendly attention and consideration I received and the professionalisms of all staff involved in my care especially considering the pressures staff are currently experiencing in order to address patient demand for their services.
