Really disappointed with the members of staff who work at the Inverclyde Centre for Independent living, especially my experience with Occupational Therapy.
Over the last year, I’ve had to deal with this service to request help. Throughout my experience, I’ve found some of the staff incredibly unsupportive, dismissive and frankly some of the most uncaring people I have ever met in a healthcare setting. Even their behaviour and attitude speaking to patients is appalling. I genuinely worry about patients who have high levels of disability and so would actively encourage others to advocate/represent vulnerable people to ensure they get the necessary help they need.
The management of these members of staff is clearly ineffective and as a result, it’s directly negatively impacting patients. Whilst I appreciate they may be a busy service, their conduct and the behaviours they demonstrate need to be addressed.
