"Seamless service at colonoscopy appointment"

I attended an appointment for a colonoscopy at Whiteabbey Hospital last week. The procedure from start to finish was seamless.

I arrived early for my appointment, did the pre procedure interview, all checks completed. Cannula inserted for the mild sedative. Then straight into the theatre for the procedure.

The doctor talked to me the whole time and the nurses in attendance reassured me throughout. I watched the procedure on a screen and the doctor talked me through his findings. Thankfully, nothing serious detected.

I can highly recommend this hospital and the bowel screening programme. NHS at its finest.
