"Great care from CAMHS"

(as a parent/guardian),

From day one, when Jayne called us to book the first appointment to see my son, even over the phone, she was very polite and friendly. She showed so much interest in our case. From then on, she became like my son's guardian Angel. She was never upset about what time of the day we called her when we had a need, she attended most meetings outside of CAMHS with us and always listened to my son and I. She will go out of her way to get us useful information or followed up with another department for my son, she made the whole assessment journey easy for us, was always available when no one else was and i want to say Thanks. We will really miss not meeting up with her. Her care made so much difference to us especially for me because it has been a difficult and sometimes confusing journey.

Thank you for sharing your story with Care Opinion. The first point of contact with services is very important for families. I am glad that you felt that the practitioner had shown an interest and was able to speak about why you were attending CAMHS.

When a young person and family are engaging with services there is often more agencies involved and it is vital that there is communication with all involved to help in the recovery of the young person and in your situation that was your son.
