My son had a severe case of tonsillitis, that night it had got worse so he phoned 111 as advised by his GP. His call was dealt with swiftly and he was advised to attend ARI ED. He waited only briefly when he was triaged by a nurse, around an hour later he had been diagnosed with quinsy, given pain relief and on an ENT ward.
The staff on ward 210 were all very good, friendly and although clearly busy dealt with any issues or concerns he had. On his day of discharge they were so well organised that he had his discharge meds and had left the hospital by early morning.
Huge thanks to all staff from 111, ED and ward 210 in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for your quick attention, great communication and kindness you have renewed my faith in the NHS and far exceeded our expectations!
"Brilliant from start to finish"
