"None of the information made its way back to the patient or family"

About: Community Therapy Services / Lymington and New Milton

(as a service user),

I was surprised to hear that the physio visited (with another individual, no name, no permission to enter the property but possessing an uncanny ability to measure rooms, make judgement on patients' homes and submit derogatory reports to the GP surgery and a care company that there was no connection with). Fortunately, the physio was at hand to decide which walls needed knocking out, which doors needed widening and which personal possessions should be thrown away. The new wet room, approved by OT, was deemed unsuitable and the situation unsustainable.

Whether these decisions were based on any healthcare qualifications or from some unknown previous existence as a bathroom fitter, builder or architect is anyone's guess, because none of the information made its way back to the patient or family via said physio. Luckily, the GP is aware enough of the care being provided by the family and didn't feel the need to follow up officially, however had this not been the case the lives of two elderly people could have been ruined by the actions of this healthcare worker.

I am grateful that this platform exists and allows patients and their families to comment freely on the service provided by the NHS, because, despite many attempts to make an official complaint, nothing has been done.
