About: Golden Jubilee National Hospital / Orthopaedics

(as a service user),

After a bit of a wait, I was admitted to The Golden Jubilee Hospital for a total hip replacement on the right side. 

At every stage, from pre-op to discharge, I felt fully informed and supported by the orthopaedic team. I was admitted to hospital on a Tuesday, with surgery scheduled the next morning and discharged on the Thursday. 

Being fully informed at every stage kept my anxiety at bay and I felt totally comfortable with the procedure, from start to finish. I am amazed at the speed of my recovery with the enhanced recovery plan.

The hospital staff were so nice, very attentive and supportive during my stay, which made what could be a difficult and painful experience much easier to manage, and virtually pain free- this is just outstanding,  when the mechanics of the procedure are considered.

I'd like to thank the orthopaedics surgical team and staff of ward 4 West for this great outcome.
