My child was admitted with high temperature due to viral infection after NHS24 call.
Staff in A&E were very helpful and understanding and the staff in the children's ward were so friendly and warm which put my wife, my child and I at ease straight away. Checks on our child and the family were frequent with a genuine caring air about them. Due to dehydration, getting a canula fitted was a challenge and he was a real trooper as the team were forced to fit it where he did not have numbing cream.
True to their word they rewarded him with a toy; this was totally not expected or necessary however it was greatly appreciated by all of us! Food was readily available, perfectly good quality with a good selection. I was very happy with the service we received especially in light of the struggles the NHS is faced with currently.
