"Kind and understanding"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Dermatology Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Renal

(as the patient),

This feedback is for two separate services at Royal Devon, Exeter.

In the Renal Department, I had iron pumped into me for 30 minutes. The nurse was very kind and understanding and did a very good job, Nothing went wrong.

In dermatology, I went to see a Dr who was very good and she has given me a leaflet which is easy to understand on requiring skin surgery. The only thing is, I might need to wait almost a year to have carcinoma removed.

Dear aurigawm76

I just wanted to provide an update on the dermatology waiting times; we have been working really hard to drive the long waiting times down, and as part of this work we have increased our capacity by opening up 3 theatres both Saturdays and Sundays. This initiative has been in place since June 2024.

The waiting time is still long and I encourage you that if you condition worsens that you don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

It is our intention to continue to put on additional capacity to improve our waiting times
