"The visit was much more relaxed than I thought it was going to be"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Cataract Unit

(as the patient),

On admission to Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, I was welcomed by the staff of the Cataract Unit and made aware of the procedure they would perform.

Throughout the whole procedure I was kept informed of what was about to happen and felt nothing at all during it.

On completion I along with my husband was given the necessary meds and advice on how to use them. They also reminded me that if I was not happy with my eye at any time I had only to phone the unit for advice. My left eye vision is now perfect.

All in all the visit was much more relaxed than I thought it was going to be and should I need the other eye done I will not hesitate.

Dear Duky526,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story. It is lovely to hear how welcoming the team were and how relaxed the visit was for you. It is reassuring for others to read how informed you were kept throughout your visit.

We wish you well in your recovery

Best wishes

Stacey
