I have been routinely visiting the treatment rooms in Larkhall to get my leg ulcers placed into compression bandaging due to a break down of my skin, the wound hasn't been healing as well as I expected but I put it down to my diabetes.
On my last visit the nurse, Hannah, took one look at it and suggested doing a swab of the wound as it was looking pretty badly infected and also had antibiotics prescribed as a back up plan. During my appointment Hannah was very thorough with my treatment and has excellent communication skills patience.
I am pleased that she did the swab as I have just found out from the doctors that I have an MRSA infection which will be resolved with a different antibiotic.
With the current climate I feel nurses do not receive the credit they deserve and this one of the reasons I am taking time to fill this in.
Would it be possible to let Hannah know of this positive feedback.
