"Unexpected"

The Reception staff were excellent. The surgery was also excellent in every respect. What I found very surprising and disappointing was the almost non-existant communication with the support staff. To be issued to a cubicle and left for lengthy periods of time, apart from the occasional appearance for a check on something, or to deliver a theatre gown was not reassuring. I did not expect to be fussed over, but neither did I expect to be left to get on with things with in such a degree of isolation. I felt like a vehicle left in the car park waiting for a service and as I had already paid a hefty bill, nothing else seemed to be of interest or concern to the establishment.
