About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust

Very ill in that much pain and rising now on a daily basis called 111 said a ambulance would be coming to check on me. Got a phone call from the ambulance service a rude man was questioning me I explained my health is deteriorating so fast. Apparently I had a a taxi yesterday but my health has again deteriorated even more he said I could get a taxi to the hospital I explained I'm to ill to get a taxi and arrogantly stated how can I get a taxi one day but not another his attitude was so rude I hung up and again phoned 111

Dear Peter Rotherham.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are very sorry to hear of this situation and that it was felt our service was not of the level expected.

If you are able to, we would appreciate you sharing your comments with our Patient Experience team, with as much detail as you can (e.g. date, time and location), so that they might identify the attending crew and investigate this matter further for you. You may contact them via our website using the complaint form, or via our voicemail line 0333 012 4216 (where we aim to respond to details left within 3 days – please note this is not a “live line”).

Best wishes, Sarah Connerton, Patient Experience Manager, East Midlands Ambulance Service
