"The fear of being in pain can no longer hold me back"

About: Fife Adult Mental Health Psychology Physiotherapy / Pain management

(as a service user),

I never thought for one second that I’d be sitting now able to manage my pain with the tools I have been given throughout my sessions with Craig. I feel less pain and am able to manage this effectively on my own using these techniques. For the very first time through having this treatment I can go days without feeling the excruciating pain I used to feel. Its intensity when I’m in pain is less and I feel in control again. I feel empowered and know that my mind and body will continue to benefit through continual use of the techniques and tools I have been given and my life will be more fulfilling as the fear of being in pain can no longer hold me back. I’m driving my bus full of passengers and I’m not stopping! Thanks Craig!

Dear Singingismasking,

I am Ros, the Service Lead of the Fife Pain Management Service.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of working with our service and in particular working with Craig. It was lovely to read the positive changes you have made from your sessions and how you feel empowered to continue developing these strategies. Craig wanted to also thank you for your post and I will be sure to share this also with our wider multidisciplinary team. I want to wish you all the best as you continue to drive your bus full of passengers towards what’s important to you!

Kind Regards,

Ros Standish, Service Lead, FPMS.
