"I received great care"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

Recently went to A&E in the early morning with stomach pain and sickness. Staff got pain and sickness under control for me and was discharged but told to return if pain returned, which it did.

I went back in the afternoon, was really busy but triage nurse Karen got me pain relief straight away to help whilst I waited, then after a couple of hours was seen and given more drugs to make me feel better again.

I received great care that day and wanted to post this as we are all quick to complain about NHS care.

Special thanks to young nurse Alex and consultant Chris I think but overall thanks very much to all staff who assisted me.

You have restored my faith in the RAH in particular after previous heartbreaking experience.

Dear Lorri29

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Care Opinion. Your kind words reflecting upon how you were treated in the RAH A&E are truly appreciated.

Many thanks on behalf of the whole team with whom I have shared your post. I will specifically make sure Karen, Alex and Chris get sight of it. I am sure it will make their day.

Wishing you well.

Gerry
