I gave birth to my baby boy at the end of October 2024 and I would like to share my impressions of the birth in North Devon. I was absolutely delighted with the conditions in the delivery room prepared for the mother and her partners during childbirth: all the new equipment, inventory for childbirth in any position that the mother wants, different types of pain relief, the comfort of a spacious, bright room with a pleasant atmosphere filled with music.
But this does not compare with the invaluable work of all the staff of this hospital! We would like to say a special thank you to the midwife Kerry and her trainee who took care of our water birth, all the girls in Basset Ward who looked after me and my son after the birth, namely Soph, Christian, Tabi, Mel, Ozlem, Emma, Ruby, Karen, children's paediatrician Keaan and the whole team in general (sorry whose names I did not remember)! Thank you for your help, care, attention to all our concerns and needs, thank you for your useful advice and sincere support! Thank you for your humanity and such dedication to your profession!
"The invaluable work of all the staff"
