"Rude receptionist"

I have never ever had an issue with this surgery, it has been used by myself and my family for years. However, today I experienced a 'berating' for having moved out of area. I tried to explain that this is only a temporary move while I am working in this area and my registered home address is still in Bury (which will be returned to imminently) but oh no, that wasn't good enough for the receptionist that answered the phone.

She was rude and although none of this is her business she continued to speak to me like a child. I have now filled in the details to change practice which seems like a waste of everyone's time and admin for the sake of admin until I return to the bury area in a few weeks. The receptionist perhaps needs to listen to the call back and learn how to speak to people. I appreciate you don't work in 'customer service' so to speak but I would usually think public facing roles require some sort of manners.
