After a nasty ankle fracture in summer this year which required surgery, I was referred to the MSK physio team at IRH. Although I had limited movement as I was just out of a cast, Claire was fantastic, offering support and encouragement. She offered me the 6 week rehab MSK Physio programme which she felt would be advantageous in helping me get back to normal and returning to work.
Although I was apprehensive about this programme, all I can say is that it was the best thing I could have done. Nicole and Hassine were fabulous.
The constant encouragement, advice and support they gave me and the rest of the class was invaluable. From worrying how I would be able to get back to normal function, I am now back to driving, walking up and down stairs and going back to work next week. I cannot praise this essential team highly enough and would recommend this invaluable team to anyone. A special thanks to Hassine for taking the time after each class to massage my foot and ankle, it has made a huge difference.
As a nurse, this has given me a newly found respect for this team of professionals and something which I will pass onto my patients.
