About: Neurosciences (DCN) / CT Guided Spinal Nerve Root Injection

(as the patient),

CT Nerve root injection sacral.

Arrived & taken to changing facility next to scanning room. Radiologist came & went through questionnaire  & explained what procedure would be carried out.

Only problem I had was radiologist wearing mask, which I know they have to do, but trying to hear everything was quite hard. However, procedure was explained & I was well looked after & told what was being done all through the process.

Medical team of Olivia & others were totally professional & I felt at ease all through the procedure. Was followed up with radiologist in waiting room with how things went & ok to leave for home.

I am a specialist radiographer within neuroimaging, rotating through MRI and CT scanning, angiography and plain film imaging. I have a special interest in CT guided Spinal Nerve Root Injections (NRIs) and perform this independently within DCN Imaging.

The radiology team are pleased to hear that you had a good experience during your procedure and you felt the procedure was explained sufficiently that you could make an informed decision on your care. In regards to your feedback about mask wearing, we are no long required to wear masks in the clinical setting, however in this case the radiologist may have felt the need to wear a mask was important to keep their patients safe if they had minor cold-like symptoms.
