I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in march 2023 and I already had had a right hip replacement and a left hip dislocation that year! The latter had brought about an increase in pain and symptoms of my already diagnosed spinal stenosis.
The support I have had from my pd consultant and two community nurses through this time has been exemplary . They are there to help me in any way I need - from medication adjustment pre and post surgery to dietary queries.
They are accessible, supportive and l feel they are dedicated to my needs, despite having a huge workload in Devon.
My current thinking is that Dr Sheridan leads a very forward thinking unit with a great team spirit and Em and Sam are everything I could wish for in the community. Praise them all!!
