East Renfrewshire ADHD OT SPARKS
Experienced a very supportive, inclusive seven week group, exploring strategies for coping with ADHD. It was beneficial to hear others stories, strategies and experiences.
The facilitators were knowledgeable, clear and compassionate. It was comforting to feel that others understood my experience of moving through the world and that I am not a broken person, not only from the other participants but also from the two facilitators.
Anna and Paul were very thorough, patient with right balance of gravitas and light-heartedness.
I would suggest that it would have been beneficial to have name tags in a group for people with poor working memory.
My other suggestion is simply increased provision and more trained staff so that groups could run for a longer period and an ongoing support/drop-in type group could be established.
Overall I felt encouraged by the peer support and enthused to try to implement some strategies to make life smoother and less chaotic.
"Very supportive and inclusive group"
