About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Dermatology

(as a parent/guardian),

My son has been referred back to RAH Dermatology for review. He was previously on Roaccutane for cystic acne, he was told that he may need another course of treatment as this could return.  His face and torso are badly effected by large boil like spots plus areas on his face of small red pimples.  This current ongoing battle with acne is having an effect on him not only physically but mentally.

The scarring from ongoing acne is awful and will effect him no doubt for the rest of his life. If this continues again for another year before he receives effective treatment, the damage to his face will only get worse.  Your face is something you cant cover and has a huge impact on his daily life.  He can miss school due to the pain and embarrassment.  He is currently in his 4th year of secondary school which is now exam time, he cannot afford to miss school.
