In January of this year I had an accident with my table saw and badly injured four fingers of my left hand. We went to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital A&E and were sent straight into the triage nurse who sensibly retrieved and kept safe my wedding ring from my mangled fingers.
I was fairly quickly assessed and, through conversations with the Plastic Surgery unit, I was transferred to the Royal. There I was seen and kindly cared for by the Senior Registrar and sent to surgery next morning. I appeared to spend most of the day in surgery as the damage on each finger was repaired as best as was possible.
My next few visits were to the Physiotherapy department where I saw several therapists who were unfailingly kind and professional as my injuries healed and functionality returned.
I would like to thank all those involved throughout my care and for the quality of care I received. I have sold the table saw!
