About: Maternity care / Maternity Day Care

(as a service user),

I have been regularly attending daycare at QEUH since 26 weeks pregnant, I am now 38 weeks.

My treatment at daycare has been nothing short of outstanding. Having had a previous premature birth my pregnancy was deemed high risk and as such I have suffered from a lot of severe anxiety throughout my pregnancy.

Every time I have attended daycare I have been reassured, comforted, listened to and treated so kindly and professionally. In particular midwives Fiona, Christine and Karen have been wonderful, I will truly miss seeing them regularly once my baby has been born. They go above and beyond what I would expect from any healthcare professional.  

I will be forever grateful for the support they have provided me during my pregnancy to make me feel supported and easing my anxiety!

Absolute angels!

Dear octansw36,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your outstanding care here at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Maternity Unit in Glasgow in our Day Care Unit.

It is lovely to read how you were treated with such kindness and professionalism and felt reassured, comforted and listened to during what must have been such a stressful time following the preterm birth of your last baby.

I will ensure that your thanks and praise is shared with all of the team in Day Care, especially Karen, Chris and Fiona. It is always our aim in Day Care to be able to provide continuity of care and ensure that women feel supported and help to ease any anxiety they any have during pregnancy.
