I was referred to Mr McBride and his Team at New Cross Hospital for an operation to repair my shoulder, although my operation was actually carried out on Hollybank Ward, at Cannock Chase Hospital.

I was very nervous about having an operation, from the pre-op assessment through to recovery and aftercare. On reflection I could have worried a lot less.

Every health care person that I came into contact with on my journey, including; cleaners, receptionists, scanners, physiotherapists, nurses, doctors and theatre staff, were friendly, helpful and understanding. Not leaving out the sheer skill that was used to repair my shoulder.

I am now 10 weeks into recovery and can't thank them enough for every aspect of their care.
