"Immense understanding, knowledge, humour and kindness"

I was referred to Occupational Therapy by the community physiotherapy team at SWAH and I have been really impressed with the excellent communication skills and interdisciplinary team working that I have encountered.

However, I really wanted to say a huge thank you to Joanne, the Occupational Therapist that I have been dealing with.

I feel that Joanne really is the ultimate healthcare professional who has assessed, planned, reassured and guided me with immense understanding, knowledge, humour and kindness.

This has been a difficult few months for me where I have had to face up to some new challenges in my life, and I really don’t know how this would have gone for me without Joanne’s help.

I feel that there has been a positive clinical outcome in that my number of falls has reduced significantly, but more importantly for me, I feel more empowered to move forward with my disability in the future knowing that such amazing professional help is available should I need it.
