Used the online request as suddenly experiencing vertigo. My request was quite detailed! Received a phone call almost immediately, which led to an appointment within an hour suggesting that it was quite important I see a doctor!
The doctor I saw made no reference to what I had written! I paraphrased
My spine issues especially compacted cervical spine resulting in neck and shoulder pain and lack of mobility!
Doctor asked if I had numbness tingling in hands “yes”
Do I have tinnitus “no”
Checked my ears = clear
Diagnosed BPPV (ears) then showed a video of an action she could do that may work ! Absolutely not as stated my neck would not cope with that movement! Explained again that I was regularly seeing an osteopath to help with pain and mobility, her response was an osteopath only deals with muscle, which is wrong !! I explained that I could not take time off work and with the current pain with my back and now vertigo I was finding it hard to cope ! Her response was that hopefully it would go of its own accord. My response was I’m seeing my osteopath Thursday.
I really didn’t understand the ear thing when there are 3 other possible causes that seem more likely. Peri menopause, a migraine symptom (both of which are things I have and am experiencing) and of course the fact I’m being treated by an osteopath for compacted spine issues ! I have always had a good, informative experience at this practice with the doctors being helpful and kind, was very disappointed this time.
