"Care for my father"

About: Adult Community Services / Adult Community District Nursing Teams

(as a relative),

Gill and her team of carers were extremely courteous and Informative. This is a newly diagnosed condition for my dad and the team eased any and all concerns with their wealth of knowledge and experience.

Prompt visits were kept and the times given were accurate.

We now are confident and comfortable with all treatments required and have found the whole experience a relatively pleasant one.

Thankyou to Gill and her team.

Hi Scott251

My name is Kevin Patterson I am the Facilitator for Patient and Client Experience for the Belfast Trust. My role is to ensure that all feedback via Care Opinion is responded to by the right person.

I have read your lovely story and would firstly like to thank you for taking the time to tell us your story. I have highlight this with a few of leads in Diabetes. However they are unsure if the story is meant for them.

Due to this could you please send me a few more details such as ward name, location (RVH) etc through to the following email address PatientExperience@belfasttrust.hscni.net and I will endeavour to get your story to the right department and team.

Many thanks

Kevin Patterson

Dear Scott251,

Thankyou for taking the time to share your experience, highlighting the care and treatment provided to your father from Gill and her District Nursing Team.I can only imagine how overwhelming it must be, receiving a new diagnoses and having to absorb so much information and adjusting to lifestyle changes this can often bring.

Thankyou for recognising the knowledge and skills that Gill ad her team possess, and in turn have had such a positive impact on you and your father. I will pass on your kind words of appreciation to Gill and her team, they will be most grateful.

May I take this opportunity to express your father well in his healthcare journey and I hope we can continue to provide ongoing advice and support to you and your father as required.

Kind Regards

Deborah McLaughlin
