"COVID and flu vaccination"

About: NHS Lanarkshire / Covid 19 Vaccination Programme

(as a service user),

Invitation to attend Eddlewood Public Hall for COVID and Flu vaccines. The hall is at the top end of Hamilton and not easy to travel to from Blantyre by public transport. I don't drive and had to take 2 buses which is very inconvenient especially on a day with high winds and blustery showers.

I know of a number of residents in Blantyre who are in the same position.

It would be much better if the vaccination centre was nearer Hamilton Town Centre

Dear defenderxk44,

Thank you for your response. I appreciate the difficulties with the current location at Eddlewood Public Hall, especially as it’s not the easiest place to get to from Blantyre using public transport. I understand the frustrations of having to take two buses, especially in bad weather.

We are in the process of developing a more central vaccination location in Hamilton, which would be much more convenient. Unfortunately, this won’t be available until sometime next year.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, we review all feedback when looking at how we can improve services.

Kind Regards

Tobias Tipper, General Manager.
