"Reablement Care"

About: Primary Care / Reablement Service

(as a relative),

I was really grateful when the Armagh Enablement team agreed to give home visits for dad while I went over to respite and help my daughter who was due to have a baby and has an autistic child and toddler.

Organised by Maeve they proved a rewarding team, who enabled dad to be independent, creative and use safety in his tasks. Dad is prone to falling and is frail, so I was worried about how he would cope on his own. They showed him safety techniques, brought in equipment and supervised his cooking. He was used to me doing most of the cooking and domestic tasks before so I was surprised at how well he got on!!

When he was tired someone made him a light meal. He looked forward to their cheerful, friendly visits and the craic was good.

So girls, you know who you are... A big thank you to Olivia, Emma, Jenny, Denise, Joanne, Maeve and Shirley!! (I hope I haven't missed anyone) XO

My lovey baby granddaughter was born in early October 2024 (mum and baby well) 8lb 4oz

Dear Goldilocks62

Thank you for taking the time to share your lovely feedback to our team. We are delighted to hear your Dad’s independence has improved and he has been re-enabled in his activities of daily living. Reablement is an excellent service provided by skilled, dedicated, and caring staff with the service user at the centre of all they do.

I will be sure to pass on this kind message to the team and we send you our congratulations on the safe arrival of a beautiful Baby Granddaughter!

Best wishes to your family
