Put into a waiting list for a shoulder op in February. Almost end of October now & still forever waiting waiting waiting waiting. What a shambles the service truly is .

My name is Catherine and part of my role is responding to posts on Care Opinion.
Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback, it is understandable that you are frustrated with the wait for your surgery.
The General Manager for this service advises that the national target for planned surgery is currently 15 months from referral. For Orthopaedic surgery patients the wait is unfortunately longer.
However, the new Day Surgery Unit at St.Luke's Hospital is due to open in January 2025 and this should allow patients to receive their surgery sooner.
