After some meetings etc I was asked to go to the clinic in Carnoustie for an operation to remove my nail on my big toe as it needed that treatment.
Got there and taken right on time, it was I believe Phillipo and his assistant who looked after me and carried out the procedure. It was so well done with the attention shown to me by both of them, excellent with the operation itself going really well and as they say, I never felt a thing.
While my nail was being removed and with the support of his assistant ( although I think she was a very experienced nurse and assistant sounds very understated !!) it was no problem.
Also, with the time for things to take the time required they made me and my partner both feel very at ease with the chats we were having it was very reassuring.
After the op I was given all the details that I need to do for the dressing of the toe and given the required bandages etc for me to use in the coming couple of weeks.
When all done and time to go it was almost as if we were saying goodbye to friends as it had felt that way from our side and the way in which the whole operation had been carried out and the support given we feel it was an excellent example of how people on the NHS can help/support the general public, even though my problem was a very basic one for them.
I know for sure that should I need to get back in touch with them for some advice or anything I am concerned about they shall be there to help me 100%.
Just as " footnote " I can say that all going well with the healing of my toe and hopefully all will be well in due course.
"Great care and attention provided"
