"Nothing was ever too much trouble"

About: Community Nursing / District Nursing General practices in Greater Glasgow & Clyde Localities Intensive Services / Care at Home

(as a service user),

My mother was very old and very frail still living within her own house but supported by carers and her medical practice, the McLean Medical Practice and their district nurses. What an amazing service provided by all!

So grateful - nothing was ever too much trouble, always came when asked and the level of care and compassion was outstanding. One of the final touches was when the girls had prepared my mum for the undertakers they had moved flowers in the room to beside her bed.

That’s one of the things that seems so small but was so appreciated and makes me fill up just thinking about it. I cannot praise them all enough and hope if anyone else’s family member is on their last journey they receive the kind of care my mother got from everyone at her practice.

Dear Laurabx24

Thank you deeply for sharing this beautiful tribute to the McLean Medical Practice and their district nurses. We are honored to know that our team could support your mother and your family with the care, dignity, and compassion she deserved. The small acts, like moving the flowers, are often a reflection of the love and respect our staff feel for their patients, and we are touched to hear how much this meant to you during such a difficult time.

Your kind words will be a powerful encouragement to everyone involved, and we’ll be sure they know just how much their care impacted your family. We extend our sincere condolences and appreciation, and we hope your memories of your mother’s peaceful last days continue to bring you comfort.

Kind regards

Kevin
