From the moment the emergency responders and the paramedics attended to my mother at home who was having a heart attack, to all of the staff on the coronary care unit they were absolutely fantastic!
My mother was taken straight in to the CAT lab on Friday evening within 20mins of the ambulance taking her there , where she underwent an angioplasty procedure to stop the blockage to her heart.
She was extremely unwell when she arrived but all of the staff were attentive and caring not just for her but for me and my sister which was a frightening few hours wait. Coffee tea biscuits were offered to us and the nurses came in and explained what was happening, which was reassuring. Mum then came onto the unit to recover.
I had been losing all faith in the nhs from other recent personal experiences but this weekend I saw a fantastic side to it
Thank-you for saving my mothers life Lincoln x x
