"I left feeling dismissed, patronised and deflated"

About: New Stobhill Hospital / Gynaecology Clinic

(as the patient),

Had a follow-up appointment here. This was my first experience of Stobhill and the consultant I met.

I felt very dismissed and that they were uninterested. I understand I am on the list for a laparoscopy but I thought I would at least be able to discuss new symptoms and developments since I was last seen over a year ago at Glasgow Royal.

I had an internal ultrasound which was very uncomfortable and painful. They then told me someone of my age should be able to empty my bladder fully. I tried to explain that since my c section I've had issues with this and it's painful. They didn't seem bothered, just told me to sit on the toilet until it was all out.

All in all I left feeling dismissed, patronised and deflated.
