Following Trapeziectomy surgery on my right hand, I was referred to PRI for occupational therapy.
I was treated by physiotherapist Asma at 4 appointments over a period of 3 months. I was given specific exercises to do, to train my thumb to work in a different way and to become more flexible following the operation. After the 4th appointment I was discharged, having been given very sensible advice on how to look after my hands to prevent further arthritis in the fingers.
Asma was extremely professional and clear in her instructions and advice. Consequently, my recovery from surgery has been quick and painless.
I must give the NHS it's due that on this occasion as the time following referral to Orthopaedics and surgery to full recovery has been very reasonable.
"Extremely professional and clear"
