I want to pass on my Thanks to the doctor I saw last Thursday 8th October I came to the surgery
for an injection in my knee but mentioned to Doctor that I could feel I had viral meningitis coming on. Because of this, he quite rightly refused to do the injection and said I should go to the hospital he would arrange everything which he did! He called me that afternoon We picked up a letter for the hospital. At the hospital I had obs taken an ECG full blood count brain scan and x-ray on my back. A full mot. I was at the hospital from 3:40 pm until one 1.15 a.m. nine hours and came out with a prescription for morphine, paracetamol and Laxido which I’ve been taking. The consultant at the hospital said it was muscular, but I disagree because I’ve had this now at least 10 times and I know the symptoms. Previously, with these symptoms, I’ve been given co-codiene and just laid in bed for 7/10 days in absolute agony until the virus passed. Now I’ve been given morphine and paracetamol and it’s amazing. I’m not bedridden I can walk and move about and I just rest up and go to bed early. I’m not bedridden and just surviving on co-codiene! No one previously had the foresight to send me to hospital before. The morphine is an amazing painkiller combined with the paracetamol! Thank you I am really grateful that I’m not now in excruciating pain. The pain has nowcspread to my head, but this is manageable now I have the right pain killing medication! “Thank-you”’”
"Thank you"
